About the Writer of The Practice of Poetry
Avanika (H.K. Hummel) lives in Berkeley, California.
She is one of the founding editors of Blood Orange Review (www.bloodorangereview.com). She is a poet, novelist, and editor.
If you’d like to see some of her work, she has two poems in the newest issue of Babel Fruit at www.babelfruit.org. She was recently awarded the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers Centre Emerging Writer in Residence 2009 award in Greenmount, Australia.
